SC Soccer Referee Association

New USSF Registration Fees
Effective July 1, 2008

On June 26, U.S. Soccer notified the South Carolina State Referee Committee that the Board of Directors of USSF approved a new registration fee structure for 2009 for referees, instructors, assessors, and assignors to be effective July 1, 2008.  The registration fees for all of these USSF program participants will increase significantly.

The South Carolina State Referee Committee was unaware of any intention by U.S. Soccer to raise registration fees for the coming year until this notice was received. The new SC Registration fees are posted on our web site.

Although USSF raised registration fees significantly for all participants, the SC Referee Committee has been able to hold down some of the increases for the vast majority of our referees. Notable in this regard are the Grade 7, Grade 8, and Grade 9 referee fees.
USSF raised the Grade 7 registration fee by $20. SC will raise Grade 7 fees by only $15.
USSF raised the Grade 8 registration fee by $15. SC will raise Grade 8 fees by only $10.
USSF raised the Grade 9 registration fee by $20. SC will raise Grade 9 fees by only $15.

97% of our SC referees are Grade 7, 8, or 9.

However, most other USSF fee increases are being passed on to our participants. The most notable increase in registration fees was for Assignors. USSF increased the registration fee for USSF Assignors by $90. South Carolina Assignors fees will also be increased by $90.

Should you have any questions or concerns regarding these registration fees, please let me know.
